Elderly woman burnt to death in Berbice Fire, sister rescued

[www.inewsguyana.com]A woman in her mid-80s was on Wednesday night (September 25) burnt to death in her Islington, East Berbice House, while her 94 – year – old was rescued by residents in the area.

The remains of the burnt woman, identified as Ms. London was removed from the house by firefighters. The circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire in the wooden house are not yet known. Reports indicate that the two sisters lived alone in the house.
