An Agricola, Georgetown, accident victim who was struck by an alleged unlicensed driver on February 13 succumbed to his injuries yesterday.
INews understands that Rudival Azore, 63, of 37 Evans Phillips Park, Agricola, who remained a patient at Georgetown Public Hospital Intensive Care Unit passed away at 04:30h on Friday.
Azore was struck at the corner of Brutus Street, Agricola, while riding to work. It was alleged the driver had reversed out of a yard and was parking when she collided with the elderly man. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital by public spirited citizens in an unconscious state. The injured man sustained severe internal injuries and a disjointed hip.
Grieving relatives related to INews that that although the matter was reported, accompanied by frequent visits to the police station, the perpetrator was never taken into custody and continues to roam free.
