The police in ‘A’ Division acting on intelligence stopped a motorcar on Land of Canaan Public Road, East Bank Demerara about 12:25hrs on Thursday and conducted a search during which two illegal weapons (.44 Revolver and a 9mm Pistol) with eleven live matching rounds were found.
The occupants; a 41-year-old resident of Bel Air Park and a 22-year-old resident of North Sophia, Georgetown were taken into custody and are assisting with the investigation.
