Driver faints, causes accident in Berbice

A mini-bus driver had a near-death experience on the No. 58 Village Public Road in Berbice on Wednesday, after he allegedly fainted and crashed into another motor vehicle.

accidentReports indicate that the driver, Mark Davis of Smythfield New Amsterdam, Berbice, was heading towards Corriverton when he fainted and ended up in the path of another vehicle, resulting in a head-on collision.

Both vehicles were severely damaged. Eyewitnesses also reported that Davis was speeding at the time. No one was severely injured.

The two drivers were taken into custody for questioning.
