Driver arrested, to be charged after mud spilled along Heroes Highway

Swift action by traffic ranks has resulted in the arrest of a lorry driver after mud was carelessly dumped along Heroes’ Highway west, creating a hazard for motorists.

The lorry involved has been lodged as investigations continue and charges are imminent.

The Ministry of Public Works has already been engaged to facilitate the prompt removal of the mud and restore the roadway to safe driving conditions.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traversing the area and to comply with directions from police ranks on the ground.
