Homebuyers who apply for an eligible home loan with Demerara Bank Limited during International Building Expo 2026 will have the opportunity to win a brand-new BYD motor vehicle, along with a range of other incentives aimed at making homeownership more affordable.

The promotion will run exclusively during the four-day Expo from June 25 to June 28, offering applicants reduced contribution requirements, waived legal fees, and the chance to win one of five $100,000 cash-back prizes.

According to the bank, the limited-time offer is designed to support Guyanese families pursuing homeownership while reducing some of the associated upfront costs.

Eligible home loans can be used for purchasing a home, constructing a new residence, completing an unfinished home, carrying out renovations, undertaking home improvements and extensions, or transferring an existing mortgage to Demerara Bank.

A representative of Demerara Bank said the promotion provides customers with an opportunity to access financing while benefiting from additional rewards.

“For many families, owning a home is one of life’s biggest milestones. Through this Building Expo promotion, we’re reducing some of the upfront costs associated with homeownership while giving customers the opportunity to enjoy significant rewards, including the chance to win a brand-new BYD,” the representative said.

The bank is encouraging prospective homeowners, builders, renovators and those seeking to refinance existing mortgages to visit its booth during the Expo and speak with Home Loan Specialists about available financing options.

On Monday, the bank in a press release noted that visitors who are unsure whether they qualify for a home loan can receive guidance on eligibility requirements, financing options and the application process from specialists stationed at the booth throughout the event.

The promotion applies only to eligible home loan applications submitted during International Building Expo 2026 between June 25 and June 28.

Demerara Bank said eligibility for the grand prize and cash-back prizes will be subject to the institution’s lending requirements, credit assessment criteria, loan approval and disbursement conditions, as well as all applicable promotional terms and conditions.
