De Kindren residents complain of deplorable roads, poor drainage

Residents of De Kindren on the West Coast of Demerara are complaining of poor drainage which is causing frequent flooding in the area.

iNews spoke with some of the residents who noted that flooding is a frequent event in the area.

They claimed that the main culvert to drain the excess water has not been cleaned in over 2 years. According to the residents, the NDC is not interested in developing their community,

In addition to the drainage problem, the residents also complained about deplorable roads. They recalled when the roads were being built; orders were given for yearly maintenance. However nothing is being done. [Akash Ramlackhan]
