A 68-year-old unvaccinated woman from Region Ten (Upper Demerara-Berbice) who was infected with the novel coronavirus has died, taking the country’s death toll to 1025.
Meanwhile, the country has recorded 66 new cases of the virus, taking the total positives recorded to date to 38,684.
At the moment, there are nine persons in the ICU, 48 in institutional isolation, 735 in home isolation and three in institutional quarantine.
Recoveries stand at 36,867.
