At approximately 9:00h today, Saturday June 29, a man whom the police identified only as Gopaul, died after he fell off a truck.
According to the police, Gopaul of No. 47 Village, Corentyne was traveling in the tray of a motor lorry along the No. 47 Public Road, when he fell off the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Skeldon Hospital, while the driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
