Case dismissed against man accused of fraudulent conversion

A South Ruimveldt man was fortunate to have a charge of fraudulent conversion dismissed, today, when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

David Singh pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate, Judy Latchman.

courtIt is alleged that during the month of January 2016 at Unity Place, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, he received motor spare parts for or on account of Rawle Cummings, and fraudulently converted proceeds in the sum of $1,190,020 to his own use and benefits.

His Attorney made note that the virtual complainant and the defendant had agreed to settle the matter.

The case was dismissed by the Chief Magistrate.
