A Parika, East Bank of Essequibo, woman was on Wednesday morning murdered in her home that she shared with her husband, who has since been implicated.
A source on the scene told Inews that the man, identified only as “Andre,” strangled his wife to death with a bed sheet.
Details are a bit sketchy, but this publication was informed that when neighbours heard the woman’s screams, they quickly rushed in the couple’s yard but the time they reached it was too late.
The woman’s husband had already fled the area.
Some police officers are presently at the scene of the crime, while others are conducting searches for the alleged murderer.
