A 15-year-old female is now dead following a boat collision that occurred along the Moruca River in the vicinity of Acquero Landing, Region One (Barima Waini). 
The incident occurred around 14:00h today.
Dead is Alisha Romanscindo of Koko area, Region Seven (Cuyuni Mazaruni).
According to reports, the two boats were speeding along the River which eventually resulted into a head-on collision between two vessels.
The boat operators are currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
