Police ranks in Regional Division #6 (East Berbice-Corentyne) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder of Imran Kadir, called “Shut Pon Shoulder,” a 56-year-old Labourer of Belvidere, Corentyne.
The murder occurred sometime between Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Enquiries revealed that the deceased and the suspect, a 32-year-old Carpenter of the same community, were reportedly consuming alcohol when an altercation ensued.
The following morning, the victim was found lying motionless at his residence, and the matter was reported to the Police.
The suspect has since been arrested as the investigation continues.
