[www.inewsguyana.com]The Berbice Bridge Company has donated $100,000 to the coaching program of the Berbice Cricket Board’s (BCB) Special Events Committee.

The donation, which took place at the weekend, saw the company which was approached by Special Events Committee Chairman, Hilbert Foster for assistance, granted the approval.

According to Foster, the money will be used to purchase coaching kits across the county. Foster stated that the kits would be distributed between 14 clubs across Berbice and would be used to coach young cricketers between the ages of 8 to 12 years old.

He expressed gratitude to the management and staff of the Berbice Bridge Company for their assistance and investment in Berbice cricket.

This follows hefty investments by Scotia Bank Limited and the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry over the past week.
