Bandits shot dead during robbery at Hadfield Street supermarket

Two bandits were this evening shot dead after they attempted to rob a Chinese-owned supermarket at Hadfield Street in Georgetown.

The incident occurred at around 19:30hrs.

This publication understands that four men stormed into the supermarket where they attempted to execute the robbery when they were reportedly shot at by a security guard.

Reports are that two perpetrators managed to escape while two were shot dead.

Their identities are not yet known.

Investigations are ongoing.
