Argentina’s Ambassador hopes to strengthen ties with CARICOM

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Ambassador of Argentia, Luis Alberto Martino presented his letters of Credence to the Caricom Secretary General Ambassador Irwin La Rocque on Monday October 28.

Ambassador Martino said his country is in the process of strengthening its relationship with Caricom. In this regard they are working to set up a Joint commission which will take the process forward in a more meaningful way.

Meanwhile, Ambassador La Rocque in accepting the credentials said Argentina is indeed a committed partner to Caricom and this he said is evident in the reopening of embassies and the establishment of new ones across the region. [Akash Ramlackhan]
