[www.inewsguyana.com] – An accident on Sunday afternoon on the Linden – Lethem trail has left Vimala Balgobin of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara dead and her husband in a critical condition.
Balgobin is the Project Coordinator for the Rural Enterprise and Agricultural Development Project at the Ministry of Agriculture. iNews understands that Balgobin and her husband were driving back to Georgetown when the car drove off the Piara Bridge.
According to information reaching iNews, Balgobin, who is also a member of the Guyana Marketing Corporation’s Board of Directors, was conducting training on women’s empowerment in remote locations.
Her husband was medivaced to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
