Thirty – five – year old Edwin Amsterdam of 79 Brutus Street, Agricola East Bank Demerara appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azor charged with two counts of unlawful assault.
Amsterdam pleaded not guilty to both offences which he committed against his child mother Whitney Burgette. According to the allegations, on June 21 and July 10 at Agricola Public Road, the accused unlawfully assaulted the woman.
He was placed on $20,000 bail for each count. [Royan Abrams]
