Agricola Accident: Man succumbs to injuries

Shawn Bourne, 71 who was injured in the accident in Agricola last night [Sunday, August 18], has succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital [GPHC], today Monday August 19.

iNews was reliably informed of the man’s death, just moments ago. Bourne was among 15 passengers, including two children, who were injured as a result of the accident.

According to reports, the driver of the minibus was travelling at a fast pace, as he was allegedly racing with another car, which he overtook on the Providence Public Road.

The accident occurred in the vicinity of the Alpha Hotel at Agricola Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
