Chester Thompson, a 67-year-old farmer from Kaikan Village, in Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) appeared yesterday at Kamarang Magistrate’s Court before His Worship R.Singh where he was charged with the offence of ‘Sexual Activity with a Child under 16 years’.
Thompson pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment.
