A first-time offender appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Wales Magistrate’s Court last week and pleaded guilty to the charge of abusive language.
According to the evidence provided in Court, Dwayne Ramcharran, 60, of 4248 Westminster, Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, on Friday, June 24 at Parfaite Harmonie, made use of abusive language to Joel Hickson.
After the defendant entered his guilty plea, he appealed for leniency and was fined $9000. Failure to pay this fine would see the defendant spending one week behind bars.
