Police on mobile patrol acting on information received went to an abandoned building at Lot 110 Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD) where two plastic barrels were found in the lower flat of a two-storey concrete building.
Upon inspecting the barrels, nine transparent plastic parcels containing cannabis were found among several bed sheets.
The cannabis was subsequently weighed and amounted to 3.7 kilograms. Several persons were questioned, but no useful information was received. Investigations are ongoing.
