2 homeless after fire destroys Wismar house

Disaster struck on Monday morning at approximately 7:20h at Lot 525 Block 22, Wismar, Linden, Region Ten – where a fire ravaged a two-story wooden structure.

The building was occupied by 56-year-old Celeina Tilaka Dharry and 38-year-old Shonette Douglas, both of whom are now homeless.

Divisional Fire Officer Andrew Holder, in an interview with this publication, stated that the cause of the fire remains unknown.

However, he noted the fire led to significant damage to nearby houses.
