Guyana has recorded 17 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the total positives detected to date to 71,209.
There are seven persons hospitalised, none of whom are in the ICU while 153 individuals are isolating at home.
Two persons are in institutional quarantine. Meanwhile, a total of 69,770 recoveries have been recorded while the death toll remains at 1,279.
