WIIN, NAREI launch new Climate Smart Agriculture course

0

The Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, through its Women’s Innovation and Investment Network (WIIN), has officially launched its new Climate Smart Agriculture course in collaboration with the National Agricultural Research and Extension Institute (NAREI).

This initiative is part of a series of training programmes being rolled out across the regions, aimed at empowering women with practical, sustainable farming techniques. Participants are equipped to plant smarter, contribute to national food security, and leverage these skills to start and grow their own agricultural ventures.

As part of the hands-on training, participants are already engaging in practical exercises such as grafting and budding, working with a variety of fruit plants, including grafting spice mango onto Julie mango, as well as combining grapefruit buds with lemon plants.

Persons interested in joining the Climate Smart Agriculture course can sign up here: https://form.jotform.com/260415249284054
