The Ministry of Amerindian Affairs has announced two significant appointments.
Yvonne Fredericks Pearson, who previously served as a Member of Parliament, has been appointed advisor, the ministry said in a statement.
“We look forward to her valuable contributions and expertise as we continue working together to advance the development and empowerment of Amerindian communities across Guyana,” the ministry noted.
Additionally, Sonia Latchman has assumed the role of Director General of the Ministry.
“As Director General, your leadership and guidance will be instrumental in driving the Ministry’s mission of strengthening Amerindian development,” the ministry noted.
Latchman has also been selected to represented the People’s Progressive Party Civic as a Member of Parliament.
