[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Police Force officially launched its ‘Grove Kaleidoscope Youth Group’ today, Saturday, September 06 at the Grove Community Centre Ground.
The group will focus its work with children from Craig, Grove and Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.
While the group’s activities will be similar to those being carried out in Tiger Bay, Albouystown and Agricola, it will be tailored to accommodate a gathering of much older children.
Commander of the ‘A’ Division, Clifton Hicken and Deputy Commander, Dion Moore officially launched the group.
The females will focus on Art and Craft along with painting while the boys will be groomed to join the police scouts program. Already the arrangements are being put in place to have would-be scouts trained by the district scout’s commissioner before they can actually be part of the National Scouting team.
The program is supported by several members of the various communities and police from the district.
