Police are investigating an alleged murder which occurred on Sunday December 21, 2025 about 22:36hrs at Mercy Wing, Plum Park, Sophia which claimed the life of 27-year-old Xavier Fraser, a taxi driver of Plum Park, Sophia.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased was at the location when he sustained gunshot injuries. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being actively investigated.
The injured man was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor on duty. A 19-year-old male, also of Plum Park, who sustained gunshot injuries was admitted to the said hospital and remains in a stable condition.
The body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.
CCTV footage is being reviewed as investigations continue.
