Investigations into the matter is ongoing.
The Guyana Police Force reminds members of the public that any form of assault on police ranks in the lawful execution of their duties is a serious criminal offense and will be dealt with decisively.
The Force will continue to take all necessary action to ensure the safety of its ranks while maintaining law and order.
