Old Students’ Association launches Special Edition Magazine to commemorate 50 years of girls at QC

The Queen’s College Old Students’ Association (Guyana) (QC-OSA) has launched a Special Edition Magazine to commemorate ’50 Years of Girls at Queen’s College (1975-2025).

This special edition magazine is part of a series of activities planned by QC-OSA as the college observes the 50^th year since the formal admission of girls. Other activities, including an exhibition and panel discussion, were previously held over the weekend of October 16^th -19^th, 2025.

The college, which was established on August 5^th, 1844, as an all-boys school, continued to so stand for more than 130 years of its now 180 years plus history, until girls were formally admitted on September 15^th, 1975.

The magazine memorialises this event and highlights the accomplishments of alumnae in contributing to the extraordinary record of Queen’s College.

Hard copies will also be available at the Alumni Room, Queen’s College, from Tuesday 7th April, 2026, free of cost, while supplies last.
