Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Madanlall Ramraj, led a team on two site visits in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) to inspect ongoing infrastructure projects and meet with local residents to discuss their priorities.
At New Road, construction of 12 concrete road lots, each measuring 100 meters and including 2×2 drainage works with reinforced concrete culverts — is 90% complete. The $14 million-per-lot project is expected to be finished within the next six weeks.
The minister also visited Riverstown, Pomeroon-Supenaam, to assess ongoing revetment works along the Riverstown Creek.

He emphasized that the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) administration remains committed to sustainable development and improving the quality of life for all residents in Region Two.
Accompanying Ramraj were Regional Chairman Devin Mohan, Regional Vice Chairman Humace Oodit, Deputy Regional Executive Officer Omesh Sasenaryan, Chief Sea and River Defense Officer Kevin Samad, Sea and River Defense Project Manager Jermaine Braithwite, and a technical team from the Ministry of Public Works.
