The French Naval Vessel La Capricieuse vessel arrived in Guyana on July 16 and will depart on Friday, July 19.
Captain of La Capricieuse Pierre Leroy said Guyana and French Guiana have enjoyed a very fruitful relationship over the years.
And while here, the Captain also noted that they will be working with the Guyana Coast Guard since there are many areas in which they can offer assistance.
The Captain along with an Executive Officer of the vessel paid a courtesy call on Mayor Hamilton Green this morning, Wednesday July 17.
During that encounter the Mayor highlighted the plans for the restoration of City Hall and noted that this is one step forward in strengthening the relationship with Guyana.
Meanwhile, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in French Guyana Major General Bernard met with President Donald Ramotar at his office, yesterday.
