Former player donates to Kashif and Shanghai

[www.inewsguyana.com]Former national footballer Oscar Thomas has recognized the talent in the recently concluded Kashif and Shanghai schools football tournament.

The former national player donated to the youngest player of the tournament Nicholas McArter of Queenstown Community Secondary School.

McArter, was the beneficiary of pair of pegs, shin guard and socks during the simple handing over ceremony recently at the company’s office in Queenstown.

McArter scored one goal during Queenstown’s lone game in the tournament at the age of 11. Thomas noted at the ceremony that he is an ardent fan of the game since his heyday as a player and believes that football will develop through players such as McArter.
