The Cheddi Jagan Research Centre has unveiled a photographic and book display in honour of the life and legacy of Dr. Cheddi Jagan at the National Library in Georgetown and in New Amsterdam, Berbice.
The exhibition opened today and features a collection of photographs and publications highlighting the life, struggles, and contributions of Dr. Jagan, former President of Guyana.
Dr. Jagan, widely regarded as the Father of the Nation, played a pivotal role in Guyana’s political development and in the struggle for democracy, social justice, and national independence. The display will provide the public, students, and researchers with an opportunity to reflect on his enduring legacy and contributions to the country.
The exhibition also includes books and publications authored by and about Dr. Cheddi Jagan and Mrs Janet Jagan, offering insight into their political philosophy, vision for Guyana, and his lifelong commitment to the working people.
The Cheddi Jagan Research Centre says it remains committed to preserving and promoting the history and ideals of Dr. Jagan for present and future generations.
