[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Colombian National was ordered to post a fine of $30,000 for entering Guyana illegally when she appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Friday (November 22).

Through an interpreter, the defendant Jully Caterine Ramirez pleaded guilty to the offence which alleged that on February 21 at Lethem Rupununi, she entered Guyana by crossing a land frontier and failed to present herself to the nearest Immigration Officer.
