Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh has announced that public assistance will be increased from $22,000 to $25,000 per month.
This measure will take effect from January 1, 2026 and will benefit more than 46,000 persons.
According to Dr Singh, the total payout for 2026 will amount to almost $14 billion.
