Budget 2026 has catered for an increase in stipend for certain category of workers, Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh has announced.
Pathway workers, community enhancement workers, Community Service Officers (CSOs), and Community Policing Groups (CPGs) will benefit from an increase in stipend from $40,000 to $50,000 per month, effective January 1, 2026.
Dr Singh said this increase will place an additional $2.8 billion of disposable income in their hands.
