Organisers of the HerVenture Summit and Expo 2026 say preparations are well underway for the return of the national platform dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs and business leaders when the event takes place on International Women’s Day, Sunday, March 8, 1-6PM at the National Cultural Centre.
Now in its second year, the summit is expected to convene over 1000 women entrepreneurs, professionals and emerging business leaders from across Guyana for an afternoon focused on enterprise growth, leadership and opportunity.
Held under the theme, “Her Power in Motion: Building Opportunity, Broadening Influence, Reimagining the Future,” the event seeks to highlight the growing role women are playing in shaping Guyana’s evolving economic landscape while creating practical pathways for collaboration, learning and business development.
ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc., organiser of the summit, said “International Women’s Day is an important moment to reflect on the contributions women are making across every sector of the economy and to recognise the role women entrepreneurs play in driving growth and innovation. Coach Upasna Mudlier, Business Coach and Trainer noted, “HerVenture was created to provide a space where women can connect with opportunities, share knowledge and build the networks that help businesses grow.”
The 2026 edition builds on the strong foundation established by the inaugural HerVenture Summit and Expo in 2025 which brought together entrepreneurs, financial institutions and development partners for an afternoon of dialogue, mentorship and opportunity.
The event showcased 22 women-owned businesses and featured a live pitching competition that connected entrepreneurs with mentorship, exposure and financial support, including a cash prize awarded to one standout business.
Approximately 200+ participants attended the first summit, engaging in panel discussions and networking sessions focused on innovation, financing and digital transformation for women entrepreneurs. Organisers say the event demonstrated the importance of creating a dedicated national platform where women-led businesses can gain visibility and access to new partnerships.
This year’s summit aims to significantly expand that platform. Participants will engage in keynote presentations, panel discussions, pitch competitions and business showcases highlighting women operating across sectors including retail, professional services, logistics, creative industries and emerging industries within Guyana’s rapidly growing economy.
Partners supporting the initiative are contributing expertise in areas such as financial services, digital payments and business development, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the ecosystem that supports women-led enterprises. Organisers say these partnerships help ensure that the summit moves beyond inspiration to provide practical tools, insights and opportunities for growth.
One of the highlights of the programme will again be a live business pitch segment where selected entrepreneurs will present their ventures before a panel and compete for financial support and business development opportunities.
As Guyana continues to experience rapid economic transformation, organisers say ensuring that women entrepreneurs have access to visibility, mentorship and strategic partnerships is essential to inclusive growth.
Participation in the summit is free, and women entrepreneurs, professionals and aspiring business leaders are encouraged to register online at go.actioninvest.org/herventuresummit.
