22-Y-O miner shot dead at Issano Landing

The Guyana Police Force is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of Samuel Marciano, a 22-year-old Miner of One Mile, Wismar, Linden.

This incident occurred around 01:00hrs on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at a shop located at 14 Miles, Issano Landing, Middle Mazaruni, during a social gathering.

Preliminary enquiries indicate that the victim was reportedly shot multiple times by two known individuals. Upon responding, Police ranks discovered Marciano’s body with several gunshot wounds. A number of spent shells and a live round were recovered at the scene.

The body of the victim was escorted to the McKenzie Hospital, where it was pronounced dead on arrival by a Doctor on duty and remains at the said hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Investigators are actively pursuing leads to locate the two suspects, and the Force is appealing to anyone with information that may assist investigators to contact 911 or the nearest police station.
