Police in Regional Division #2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam) were arrested, separately, on Saturday after being found with a total of 22.6 grams of cannabis.
At about 13:00 hours, ranks were on mobile Patrol at Charity, Essequibo Coast, when they observed 24-year-old Collis Goodluck, who’s known to the police.
A searched was conducted on his person and seven small transparent plastic bags containing leaves, seeds, and stems were found in his possession.
He was arrested and taken into custody. The cannabis was weighed, amounting to 7.4 grams.
Meanwhile, later that afternoon, at about 16:30 hours, in the Vicinity of the Anna Regina market, a search was conducted on Altaab Barakat, a 20-year-old resident of Charity.
Several small transparent plastic bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems were also found in his possession.
Barakat was taking into custody, where the cannabis was weighed in his presence and amounted to 15.2 grams.
Both men were placed into custody pending charges.
