An employee of the Toucan Mall located at Amelia’s Ward, Linden was this morning found dead in the facility’s pool.
He has been identified as Henry Gardener.

Police of Regional Division #10 are investigating the death of 69-year-old Henry Gardener, a handyman who resided at the Toucan Mall, located at Toucan Drive, Amelia’s Ward, Linden. The man’s body was found in the pool of the said mall today, Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Gardener reportedly drowned sometime between 20:00hrs on Monday, May 5, 2025 and 07:20hrs on Tuesday, May 6″, 2025.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that about 20:00hrs on May 5th, 2025, the deceased along with the 67-year-old owner of the mall conducted routine checks around the premises. The owner claimed he left the deceased at the pool area.
On May 6, 2025 at about 07:20hrs, the body Gardner was discovered in the pool. And the matter was reported to the police.
The man’s body was removed from the pool and examined; no marks of violence were seen on the exposed parts of his body.
The body of the deceased is presently at the Pensioner Funeral home, awaiting a post mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
