[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – One – year old Royshan Cook of Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara was killed at approximately 20:40 hrs last night, Sunday, September 28, after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car traveling in the same direction.
According to information reaching iNews, Cook was proceeding east along the roadway at Anna Catherina, West Coast Demerara on motorcycle CE 4343 when he collided with motorcar PNN 5924, which attempted to make a right turn.
Information suggested that the driver of the car did not indicate that he was getting ready to turn, forcing Cook to swerve right to avoid colliding with the vehicle. However, the motorcyclist grazed the mirror of the car causing him to lose control of the motorcycle, colliding with another car HC 5036 which was heading in the opposite direction.
Cook suffered several broken bones and was killed on the spot. Up top late last evening, both drivers were in police custody assisting with investigation.
