At the launching Director of YBG, Chris Bowman was pleased to launch the 10th edition of the event and thanked all the stakeholders involved in the process which includes the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF), Digicel, Beharry Group of Companies, Banks DIH, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Sport and the Director of Sport, Neil Kumar.
Bowman also highlighted that it was extremely pleasing to have the blessing of the GABF despite whatever conflicts they might have had in the past.
President of the GABF, Nigel Hinds noted that tournament is one that can foster development and challenged YBG to full the stands of the Sports Hall.
The three main sponsors in Digicel, Beharry Group of Companies and Banks DIH that has sponsored the tournament for seven consecutive years with this year being the eight congratulated the YBG on its longevity and success.
The Various Regional Conferences will tip off on April 20 across Guyana.
