[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Olympic Association will be hosting its 5th Annual Cycle programme in observance of the World Olympic Day under the theme “Move, Learn and discover” this Saturday, June 21 at the inner circuit of the National Park.
The five-race programme, set to pedal off at 09:00h will feature five races carded for the day those are BMX Open (3 laps), BMX Boys 6-9 (2 laps), BMX Boys 9-12 (3 laps), BMX Boys 12-14 (3 laps) and BMX Open (4 laps).
The defending champions are: for the open four-lap race is Christopher Griffith, three-lap race Jamal John, three-lap junior Rasheli Ceres and two-lap Sherwin Sampson
The programme was organized by National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed and sponsored by the Guyana Olympic Association; the race is opened to anyone who has a BMX Bicycle.
The winners of each category will receive trophies and prizes that were donated by the GOA. The Guyana Olympic Association is urging the general public to come out and support this venture.
