[www.inewsguyana.com] – Works on the Agricola Community Centre ground commenced yesterday [Saturday, July 12] as part of the police impact project in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works.
When iNews Sports visited the ground, residents were seen building the fence while a worker from the Public Works Ministry was filling the ground with sand.
Commander of ‘A’ Division, Clifton Hicken along with Officer in Charge of sub division #2 Deputy Superintendent Khali Pareshram and an engineer from Public Works were at the ground inspecting the works.
iNews understands that the works will be completed in another two weeks. Commander Hicken said he wants Agricola to have a sporting facility of its own.
iNews Sport understand that meshes and timber were donated by the Ministry of Publics Works while the sand and dirt were donated by police ‘A’ Division.
