…reputed husband turns self in after reporting matter to police
A 38-year-old Linden woman is now nursing severe burns to her body after her reputed husband allegedly doused her with a heated substance on Thursday afternoon.
The injured woman has been identified as Onika Kingston of Silvertown, Wismar, Linden.
According to information received, the incident occurred at around 12:30hrs at Kingston’s home which the couple shared.
INews understands that the duo became involved in an argument which resulted in the suspect committing the act which has left the victim with first and second degree burns to approximately 28 per cent of her upper body.
She was rushed to the Linden Hospital Complex for treatment.
It was also reported that after committing the ghastly act, the suspect went to the Wismar Police Station and turned himself in after reporting the matter.
An investigation is presently ongoing.
