[www.inewsguyana.com] – Magistrate Fabayo Azore dismissed three charges against a mechanic on Monday, June 15, after the complainant, who is the mother of his child, refused to testify against him.
Granato Grenville appeared before the Magistrate where he pleaded not guilty to charges of assault, threatening language and simple larceny, which were all committed against Andrea LaFleur.
The Court heard that on June 11 at Amelia’s Ward, Linden, he stole one Blackberry torch cellular phone with a charger together valued $45,000, property of LaFleur.
It is also alleged that on the same day at Lot 56 Central Amelia’s Ward, he unlawfully assaulted LaFleur and made use of threatening language towards the woman, where a breach of the peace maybe occasioned.
Grenville was represented by Attorney-at-law, Adrian Thompson, who informed the Court that the complainant does not wish to offer any evidence in the matter.
