A few weeks after a 35-year-old miner, Kevin Dawson died, his young wife on Monday morning committed suicide at her parents home in Charity, Essequibo, where she was residing.
This is according to grieving family members of the now deceased, Cindy Dawson.
The audibly distressed relatives were reluctant to reveal more information surrounding the woman’s death to the media.
Inews had previously reported that on June 5, 2017, the now dead Dawson was found lying unconscious several feet away from her husband’s deteriorating body, in the home they shared in Cummings Lodge, lower East Coast Demerara.
Information provided at the time suggested that the young woman, who is a nursery school teacher, did not report to work. As such, her friends and family called on her, but received no answer.
When they visited her home, a foul stench was emanating from the building and Dawson was found shortly after.
Police had reported that the post mortem examination conducted on her husband –who had been dead for at least two days prior- outlined that he died from Malaria and Typhoid.
Investigators believed that Dawson fainted when she returned home from work and found her husband dead.
The duo had reportedly been together for some years, and got married months before Kevin Dawson passed away.
