A 20-year-old West Coast Berbice resident who is also attached to the Guyana Police Force, allegedly took the decision to end his life on Sunday evening after reportedly being “harassed” about his sexuality.
Dead is Shivraj Harilall also known as Peter of West Coast Berbice and Georgetown. He reportedly hung himself.
While details remain sketchy, INews was informed by friends of the now dead man that he took his life on Sunday evening, after a night of imbibing with a group of people.
Harilall, in his inebriated state reportedly disclosed to his friends his intentions to end his life after he was reportedly being harassed about a photo which was leaked on
social media, of him allegedly kissing another man.
However, they reportedly took him home, after thinking they had “talked him out of it.”
An investigation has been launched.
