As the World T20 moves forward, it is a common sight to see former cricketers give their views on a match. But what is rare is to see a legend attacked on live television.
Pakistan’s legend Wasim Akram was attacked during his post-match analysis on national TV. Well, believe it or not, that is exactly what happened to former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram who was speaking live on a Hindi news channel.
Akram – a globally admired bowling great – who was speaking on India’s 6-wicket victory over Australia at Mohali in Match No 31, was seen to be in shock, when he noticed men coming in front of the camera and asking him to stand up.
During the analysis, he was also praising India’s Virat Kohli’s batting when two men appeared out of nowhere and blocked the camera and heckled the 49-year-old.
It was without warning and even the news anchor was shocked at what he saw. No one knows who the attackers were. (India Times, Daily Times)
